Sound of the Day Podcast - October 5 2006
Another day into our retrospective exploration of Sound of the Day podcasts gone by with the April 2005 theme from European New Age artist J Anderstein. This theme, in its original unexpurgated form caused quite a backlash when it first appeared. A few people posted very negatively about it as if a temporary shift into a mellow style of music was the end of the world... or at least the end of podcasting as we knew it. We were just glad they cared enough to be upset.
People familiar with odd musical instruments and emergency rooms may have an easier time recognizing the Sound of the Day podcast sound for today. Now that hint should be enough to confuse anyone. If you don't recognize it, just listen with an open mind and the answer may swing your way...
If you think you know what makes today's Sound, drop us a line. We would love to hear from you!
The Sound of the Day for October 4, 2006 is someone drinking the last bit, rather noisily, from their fast food soda cup.

Special Note
Times are changing and the Sound of the Day is too.
During October, we'll be evaluating the future of this podcast to determine if we have the resources to do new shows or if we should just say it's been a wonderful experience and move on to other projects. October Sounds will come from the archives and contain some of our favorites from over the last 20+ months, so don't be surprised if you've heard the themes before and they change from day to day.
One way or the other, we love what we've been able to accomplish and look forward to the future of podcasting.
Thanks, as always, for listening!
