Sound of the Day Podcast - June 13 2006

What sweet, violent comestible would make the Sound of the Day podcast sound for today? I'll bet more of you know the origin of today's Sound than know the definition of the word comestible. If you know either, let us know... we're lost.

The Sound of the Day for June 12, 2006, is a pill bottle being opened, and pill being taken out, and the bottle being closed again.

Pop Rocks?

noun: an item of food
adjective: edible
origin: late 15th century, from Old French, from medieval Latin comestibilis, from Latin comest- ‘eaten up,’ from the verb comedere, from com- ‘altogether’ + edere ‘eat.’

I was bored. =P Do I get bonus points for looking it up?

Yes you do! :D

We're not sure how, but I (Steve) do plan on initiating some sort of reward system for people who guess frequently and/or correctly. Bonus points will be counted.

I also apologize for yesterday and today's Sounds being a bit late. Although this shouldn't bring the process to a grinding halt like this, I was in a motorcycle accident last week and I'm still playing catch up. Since I'm now closer to 100%, we'll make sure the shows start arriving on time again - staring tonight with yesterday and today's Sounds.

We thank you for your patience and understanding.
