Someone playing with the teeth of a comb?
As very nearly guessed by RedSoxFan, the Sound of the Day for January 16, 2006 is someone playing with the teeth of a comb, but in this case there were multiple combs assembled together to make a brush. This brush has a rubber base which is what makes the reverberation of the teeth muffled.
Hmmm... maybe we will use RedSoxFan's suggestion sometime soon. :)
