Again, please ignore the cars whizzing by... although it's again a hint about where we are with the Sound of the Day podcast sound for today. This sound isn't present in many places, but those who have heard it will be able to guess today's sound. What do you think it is.

The Sound of the Day for December 22, 2005 is a pedestrian street crossing signal in Amsterdam. The audio feedback helps people with limited vision know when it's safe to cross.
